Mira a tu alrededor,

Déjate caer a Sus pies,

Déjate caer a Sus pies,

No morirás, no morirás.
Corre a Sus brazos, No tengas miedo,
Déjate amar, Confía en el Señor,
Déjate amar, confía en el Señor…

Y abandónate, entrégate en Sus manos,
Déjate caer a Sus pies,
Abandónate y haz Su voluntad
Demuéstrale a todos que nada con Él...

Te Faltará.

iPhone iOS 4 Complaints Could Be Apple's 'Vistagate'

Just when you thought it was safe to turn on your iPhone ... Antennagate may be over, but complaints are now rolling in from iPhone 3G users who downloaded the latest Apple mobile operating system.

There are reports that upgrading the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS to iOS 4 causes the phone to drag and the battery to run out more quickly. Apple has said it is investigating the issue, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.

"My I-phone 3G was running perfectly fine, till I updated to OS 4, it's been slower than the slowest, and even turns itself off at anytime, during browsing and even during calls. I updated to 4.0.1 only to improve things a little bit. Still the problems persist," wrote a user from India who calls himself I-Phone 4.0.1 bugs. "Am cursing myself why I updated it."

Worldwide Complaints
The problem isn't confined to Asia. Users in the United States are reporting the same issues. Some say the iPhone 3GS now "stutters." Others say the iPod capabilities on the phone are "completely busted." Still others report the updated iPhones won't go to the home screen and take 30 seconds to respond to various commands.

One forum complainer named "Savvytraveller" said his apps are crashing or just freezing after the upgrade to iOS 4.0.1. This same users reports the handset is getting hot. The complaints go on and on, giving Apple another headache after the iPhone 4 case giveaway just eased the last one.
Indeed, this isn't what Apple expected when it touted iOS 4, the newest version of the iPhone mobile operating system with the much-anticipated multitasking. Many iPhone 3GS users upgraded to tap into the multitasking capabilities, which promise to let users switch between apps while preserving battery life.

iOS 4 also offers a new Folders capability that lets users organize apps into collections by dragging and dropping. On Apple's web site, the company promises, "The iOS 4.0.1 Software Update improves the formula to determine how many bars of signal strength to display on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G. The real signal strength remains the same, but the bars on iPhone will indicate it more precisely."

Apple's Vista?
But iOS 4.0.1 doesn't seem to be perfectly compatible with the 3G model. Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group, said the new OS is really starting to become Apple's version of Microsoft Windows Vista, a platform that plagued the software giant for months and will go down in history as a faux pas.
"Apple may have become too comfortable in its leadership, and now we are getting complaints ranging from iTunes being out of date to these new software-hardware problems with the 3G," Enderle said. "What we may be seeing is that Apple was too dominant for too long, and like Microsoft when they hit Windows Vista, didn't realize that they weren't invulnerable. The end result has been a problematic platform."

What can Apple do to emerge from the negative tide it finds itself in? As Enderle sees it, Apple needs to admit it made a mistake, stop making mistakes, and, "like Microsoft eventually did with Vista, fix it."

Coro:
Todopoderoso es el Señor,

Ay en el calvario fue puesto

y alli fue crucificado
la sentencia fue de Herodes
y firmada por Pilatos.

Es el que todo lo sabe

es el que todo lo ve
no conoce el egoísmo
ni actua de mala fe.

Si vierameos bien al mundo

y anuestros pueblos hermanos
no existiera lo rotundo
ni existiera la crencia
cada cabeza es un mundo.
~
Oye después que lo escupieron
y después que lo empujaron
todito lo que le hicieron
fueron todos perdonados.

Padre nuestro que estas en el cielo

libranos de todo mal
y libranos de las manos
que nos quieren acabar.

Es, ese el que to lo sabe

es ese que to lo ve
no conoce el egoísmo
ni actua de mala fe.

Unsexy Yahoo Muddles Into Disappointing Results

Yahoo shares took a hit Wednesday morning after the company reported disappointing second-quarter sales. Despite seeing profits rise, Yahoo missed analysts' estimates.

Yahoo generated sales of $1.13 billion, excluding revenue passed on to partner sites, in the second quarter. That's a two percent gain over the second quarter of 2009. Yahoo's net income rose to $213.3 million, or 15 cents a share, from $141.4 million, or 10 cents a share, in the year-ago period.

Yahoo profits rose 51 percent, buoyed in part by 19 percent year-over-year growth in display advertising. But search advertising dipped eight percent. The positive news didn't overcome analyst disappointment, and its stock fell as much as eight percent in pre-market trading. Analysts expected Yahoo to post second-quarter earnings of 14 cents a share on $1.16 billion net revenue.

The Bartz Spin
"We're pleased that we continued to deliver strong operating income and margin expansion," said Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz. "Our search fundamentals are improving and we posted another quarter of healthy display advertising growth."

Bartz has to remain optimistic in the second year of the turnaround effort she's spearheading, despite the fact that Yahoo continues to lose momentum in the search market. Yahoo's story is that it's continuing to progress toward its objectives. But Yahoo seems to be moving too slow, much like the general economy, even while Google and Apple defy the recession.

"Yahoo is in an enormously competitive environment, especially with Facebook on the one side with display advertising and Google on the other side with its dominance in the search space," said Greg Sterling, principal analyst at Sterling Market Intelligence. "Investors were disappointed and some of the analysts were critical that it came in below the guidance."

What Yahoo Needs To Do
Under Bartz, Yahoo appears more disciplined. The company has looked at cost-cutting measures to drive up margins. But that's not enough in an ultra-competitive Internet market. Yahoo needs to be more aggressive on the consumer side, Sterling said, growing through new properties and pushing out into mobile and other areas.

Yahoo would argue it has done that. The company deepened its integration with Facebook through Yahoo Pulse, launched new e-mail and messenger apps for the Android and iPhone platforms, extended a global partnership with Samsung, inked a strategic alliance with Nokia and Sony, and made some acquisitions in the second quarter. But none of that has been enough to excite the market.

"It's very challenging. I don't know what I would do exactly if I were in Carol Bartz's position. Yahoo is still is a very prominent company, but it's struggling to gain momentum even though they do still have some industry-leading properties," Sterling said. "In this post-Bing era where they are going to get this more relevant index and save all this money, they really need to deliver in terms of the user experience. So far it hasn't been interesting or sexy enough to captivate people."

Our Christian Faith

Father Nicolas Schwizer # 38 – July 1, 2008

What is needed for the Christian faith to take deep roots in a person and for it to stay strong and healthy? The experts tell us that three forces must cooperate so that a person may reach faith and in addition grow and mature in it: God, the person himself/herself, and the Community of believers.

1. God. We know that God through Baptism gives the initial grace so that faith can be born in and grow in a Christian. This faith received in Baptism is a seed. The seed has been made to produce a plant and the plant has been made to produce fruit. For the seed of faith to grow in the soul, God has to continue giving His grace.

Throughout our long life, how can we obtain that grace of faith? I think God gives us a fundamental condition for it: He wants us to ask Him for that grace with humility and childlike confidence. The Apostle James tells us in his letter: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (4:6). The Lord Himself teaches us in the Gospel to ask with confidence: “When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for” (MK 11: 24).

2. The person himself/herself. Faith is a gift from God, but it is also a personal response from the man/woman himself/herself. He/she can and should collaborate in the growth of his/her faith. It should be lived and fulfilled in his/her daily life. He/she should test it with deeds and acts of concrete faith. The seed which is not tended to or nourished cannot mature; it withers and dies. I believe that is the reason for the weakness and even the disappearance of faith in many of our contemporaries.

A sage from India, after traveling through Europe, said: “In Europe, I found a Sunday Christianity and a daily heathenism.” Faith which does not inspire daily work, contact with others, or the joy and suffering of each day…..cannot grow; it diminishes and dies sooner or later.

3. The community of believers. The third basic condition, in addition to the grace of God and human collaboration, is the Community of believers. Faith can only take roots in a person when he/she is
part of a Christian community because faith is not a private matter.
In the community, he/she receives revelation from God and he/she renders a response of faith.
Therefore, St. Paul says: “And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed?” (Rom 10:14): But it is not enough to only preach with words. It is more important and more fruitful to preach with a life of faith. Life is only born of life; and a vital faith is only born of a vital faith.

I believe this is another reason why so many people today cannot believe: Many educators and preachers of faith – parents, priests, teachers, etc. – do not embody faith in their persons or in their lives. They only speak of faith, but do not live from it. Therefore, their message is not convincing or uplifting.
Here enters, with much force, the importance of our Christian communities and our Christian groups.

What is most fundamental and decisive for being born into and growing healthily in the faith are our Christian families, the first faith communities. The parents are not only the great educators of the faith for their children, they are also reflections of God Himself to their children. By means of the relationship with the parents, the child experiences the relationship with God the Father and with the Heavenly Mother, the Blessed Virgin. Thus, in a natural and spontaneous way, a personal attachment to God comes forth.
The essence of faith is not believing in certain truths or articles of faith, it is believing in a person, it is believing in a personal God. Maturing in the faith means deepening my intimate attachment to Christ and to the Triune God.

Therefore, let us ask God to grant us the grace to grow permanently in the faith and to grow in personal attachment to Him, and may our crises of faith only be crises of growth. Let us also ask the Blessed Virgin, Mother and model of faith, that she strengthen us and accompany us on our journey to the House of the Father.

Questions for reflection
1. Do I consider myself a Sunday Christian?
2. Do I consider myself a person of faith?
3. As a person or as a group, how are we different from the rest?

Emotional Maturity

Father Nicolas Schwizer # 71 – November 15, 2009

What does emotional maturity consist of? Two words can define this maturity: first, being in possession of oneself and, secondly, the giving of oneself.

The possession of oneself
We could also mention here emotional equilibrium(balance) which is the ability to be in charge of one’s impulses, tendencies and tensions. It is impossible to surrender or give oneself if one is not in possession of oneself…..if one does not control oneself, if one does not have self-control. By means of my self-control, I am going to be a bearer of life and love for my spouse, for my children, my group brothers and sisters, for my friends.

Our maturity should rekindle the life we find in our home and in the world around us. Instead of collapsing, destroying, or killing with my superficiality…..my extemporaneous commentary, my unloading, my lack of self-control…..precisely there, I give a little bit more life. Love which does not guide life is not love. Selfishness is the bearer of death, love is the bearer of life.

Possession of oneself means possessing a rich inner world, cultivated, a world which includes a fine grade of personal intimacy, of privacy. There are people who are interiorly rich, but they are not in possession of themselves because they are always conversing, they are talking permanently.

And the one who talks sticks his/her foot in his/her mouth. The one who talks little, sticks the foot in less. Ordinarily, the one who does not talk does not stick the foot in the mouth. The person who has the need to tell everyone what goes on, does not have intimacy, does not have self-control. To have selfcontrol means also to have moments of silence, moments of recollection, moments of prayer. In that way we assimilate what God plants in us.

Here we can see the sense of the secret. No one will trust in us if there is no sense of secrecy. What is the secret? Possession of oneself…..not having the crazy whim of wanting to tell everything to the first person we see. How important it is to self-educate ourselves on this aspect!

Even if it means telling oneself: I’m dying to tell my husband something, but no, I am going to wait for an hour and then I’ll tell him.

Or, we hear some gossip. Whether it is the truth or a lie, if I continue telling it, the only thing I do is plant death, not life. I kill my brother or sister’s reputation, I put in doubt something about him/her. Therefore, on my part, no more gossip. In keeping secrets you have a good, concrete way of selfpossession. One must see how people open up when they find someone who is able to listen and to remain quiet afterward.

Another small exercise along with maintaining the secret, is not unloading something at any time and
with any person. It is better to put-off those moments of unloading: tomorrow I am going to talk about that with my spouse, or next week. In this way one becomes a person who is not drowning and, therefore, does not need to unload.

The giving of oneself
Self-control can end up in selfishness; therefore, the second aspect of emotional maturity: the giving of oneself. Once I am in possession of myself, I am giving of myself, I offer myself. Giving of oneself is the ability of getting out of a receptive and selfish “I” to become a fruitful “you” and an “us.” To give myself, to surrender, is a task which can be applied to all areas of our life: at work, in the family and in the marriage, in society, in the parish, in the relationship with God. In all areas I am always possessing myself and giving myself, always in that game. The beautiful thing about all of that is that the more I give myself, the more I receive: more joy, more security, more love, more wisdom, more happiness. We used to say that possessive love is like a bottomless barrel. This love, giving love, is enriched without measure. And the more it gives itself, the more it possesses itself.

Questions for reflection
1. Do I talk about what I hear before making sure it is the truth?
2. Do I wait for a while…..before telling something?
3. Do I listen to others or do I “perturb” them with my conversation?

What Does Being A Child Before God Consist Of?

Father Nicolas Schwizer # 01 – December 14, 2006

What attitudes does childlikeness imply? It seems to me that, basically, there are three attitudes before God: confidence, obedience and childlike surrender.

1. Childlike confidence. God is an almighty Father. This theological affirmation awakens in me the attitude of confidence. It is the experience of the child who knows how to trust blindly in his/her parents. The child does this instinctively, without much thought; it is the child’s own experience; therefore, the child feels secure and sheltered and lives his/her life peacefully and happily.

What is spontaneous in the child, we adults must reconquer if we want to have the soul of a child. What the child presupposes from his/her natural parents, the childlike person recognizes in the Heavenly Father. Therefore, the father and founder, Fr. Joseph Kentenich, tries to lead us to childlike confidence: “My personal effort, regarding the entire family, is that we become heroes of confidence.”

He tries to illustrate this heroic confidence with the image of the child of the mariner. This child, although aware of the danger of the high seas, does not despair, rather, the child remains tranquil because he/she knows that his/her father is at the helm. This is the conviction we must re-conquer: “The Father has the helm in his hands even if I do not know the destination or the route” (HEAVENWARD, American Edition p. 112). When we thus surrender the direction of our life to the Father God, then existential security is reborn. It is the “security of the pendulum” which remains firmly grasped from above.
Amidst the ups and downs of life, the Father is the solid rock, the child’s tranquility. “The child overcomes everything through confidence” (see GOD MY FATHER), affirms the father and founder.
In this context, spiritual childhood consists in a simple faith in Divine Providence which helps us to see behind everything, a paternal and generous hand. Childlikeness is not evading responsibilities, rather it is an historic and creative leading role. It is sharing responsibilities with the Father, striving for a world worthy of Him.

2. Childlike obedience. Secondly, true childlikeness is docility, submission to the will of God, obedience to the Father. Starting with Jesus and following his footsteps, “the childlike person knows that his work is great only in the measure in which it corresponds to the wish of the Father” (see GOD MY FATHER).

In each case, it is asking Him: Father, what pleases you more? Obedience confers on spiritual childhood vitality and heroism; it makes it demanding and educational because the true image of the Father encompasses not only goodness, but also power. God the Father can cause us pain to make us more like His Only Begotten Son, but it is always love which motivates Him to impose on us severe demands.

3. Childlike love. “The saints – affirms Father Kentenich – became saints from the moment they began to love, and they began to love only when they believed they were loved by God….. when they knew they were loved by God….. and when they felt loved by God” (see GOD MY FATHER).

Our love must again become like the love of children. We should leave aside our troubles and complications of adults and learn to love with simplicity. We should take off our masks of false greatness and self-sufficiency and surrender ourselves with sincere humility. We should go from a rational and calculating love to a spontaneous and warm love. This simplicity, authenticity and spontaneity of surrender, captures the love of the Father and attracts Him irresistibly.

For that reason, our love must grow and become purified. Primitive love turns toward self and one’s own interests. On the other hand, mature childlike love turns toward the Father and His will. That requires permanent self-education. It requires a constant daily struggle, sacrificing and heroic surrenders…..but we know that it is the only road to travel to become like children and thus be able to enter the Kingdom of the Eternal Father.
